Tuya Has Arrived!

Tuya was born and raised in Coruscant’s upper levels. She excelled at science even as a young Twi'lek, and upon completing her studies landed a position at Medtech as a biotech engineer. Tuya loved her job, even if she felt like she was a little different from some of her peers, who didn't seem to ever break out of their scientific shells.

Tuya’s work was primarily with nanotechnology. She experimented with nanites to activate accelerated healing properties in living organisms. Helping Tuya with this project was her friendly droid assistant T-U8, who Tuya affectionately referred to as Tubs.

One day Tuya walked into her boss’s unoccupied office and noticed on his vidscreen there was another team working on the project. They were creating nanites whose purpose was to injure rather than heal! And even worse - these harmful nanites were being loaded into a blaster prototype, along with Tuya’s healing nanites. With help from Tubs, Tuya stole the blaster prototype and escaped the building.

Tuya set off for Coronet City, as Medtech sent word to other medical technology companies, effectively banning Tuya from working in this field. Tuya saw a Hunters advertisement on ORSN and realized she could show off the healing power of her blaster to a mass audience. Balada offered her protection and a platform, especially with Vespaara being far away from Coruscant and the reach of the Corpos. Tuya’s goals in the Arena are to bring the public’s attention to her healing nanites, to perform additional nanotech experiments using the Arena’s equipment, and to one day shut down Medtech for good.
