Greetings Hunters Fans,

We’re excited to introduce our newest battlefield—Hoth Frontline!

Prepare to revisit an iconic battle in galactic history as you step onto the frosty frontlines of the Arena’s reimagining of the Battle of Hoth. Balancing out last Season’s Imperial-inspired Vader’s Castle battlefield from Season 2, the Arena is giving some inspiration to its resident Rebel Alliance loving Hunters this time around. The latest battlefield, Hoth Frontline, is centered around the impressive, imposing set piece of a gigantic V-150 Planet Defender ion cannon, which in better days was capable of taking out capital ships. Running in and out of cover outside, Hunters will feel the heat of blaster fire as they strive to make it inside the control room of the ion cannon and take cover amidst the towering, snow-covered wreckage of downed Imperial walkers.

But it’s not just the icy surface that Hunters will be fighting across. Hoth Frontline is the Arena’s biggest and boldest battlefield yet, with two layers for Hunters to wage combat on: above ground and underground. From the inner workings of the ion cannon's machinery through to a defensive stronghold inspired by Echo Base, the Hunters will battle it out as they search to locate a possible escape back to the exterior—but look out for a few surprise encounters with local Hoth fauna...

Ion Cannon

The central attraction on the new battlefield, it is hard to miss the imposing tower dominating the frosty landscape. But it's not just the icy exterior that will serve as a backdrop for exciting matches, the interior of the ion cannon will see Hunters blasting across walkways spanning a deep chasm within the inner workings of this massive feat of weaponry.

Interior Chambers

Feel that chill? It’s not just the cold … Battle your way through corridors of carved ice walls reminiscent of Echo Base and snowy chambers that might just show evidence of a Wampa’s lair.

Rebel Walls, Snow Trenches and Downed AT-ATs

No recreation of Hoth would be complete without evidence of the iconic battle that was waged on its snowblown surface. Impromptu rebellion barricades, collapsed Imperial AT-ATs and fortified snow trenches all make for great reminders of the Battle of Hoth—as well as great cover for our Hunters!

Speeders

Keep an eye on the sky—while still staying wary of enemy fire—and you’re likely to catch more than just a glimpse of Rebel Alliance speeders zooming overhead to lay down suppressive cover fire against encroaching Imperial troops.

Our team had an absolute, frosty blast putting together this unique reimagining of an iconic battlefield in this new map. We hope you’ll have a great time trying to stay hot out there on the ice! Keep your eyes peeled for even more interesting details hidden throughout the battlefield.
